Cartridge bag (pouch) of the 1891 model
(according to some sources, the 1892 model), for the Mosin rifle. This type was made of thick leather and had an elongated box-like shape with a rounded bottom. The pouch contained 6 clips (5 rounds in each), closed with copper or bronze pins. In 1936, after the 1936 model knapsack was adopted by the Red Army, the pouch was made of leather or tarpaulin, with leather straps and supplemented with a ring for attaching to the knapsack.
Supplied in two types:
two-section pouch, model 1937, made of tarpaulin (using rivets for fastening straps and without rivets in the bottom of the pouch) with a steel ring for attaching to a knapsack equipment
two-section pouch, sample before 1937, made of tarpaulin (using rivets for fastening straps and rivets in the bottom of the pouch).
Each compartment of a two-piece pouch contained three / four clips.
Original pouches from army storage in different condition (new and used).
