This auction is for the 1954 yearbook for personnel at Williams Air Force Base outside Phoenix, Arizona. The Base was a major training center for combat pilots around the time of the Korean War. The hardback yearbook is in excellent condition, as seen in the photographs. The cover features the Lockheed P-80/F-80 Shooting Star fighter plane, the first jet fighter plane used by the US military. A great piece of American militaria!
I'm a retired academic historian based in New Orleans who enjoys searching estate sales for rare historical items. So much to learn! Was thrilled to find this yearbook in such fantastic condition.
