GySgt Walter R. Bowers passed away 4/29/1970. GySgt Walter R. Bowers is buried next to his wife Ruth Ellen Bowers at Arlington National Cemetery.

Their youngest son Sgt. Ronald Justin Bowers was a Sgt. U.S. (Airborne Infantry) Army during the Vietnam War, approx. 1967. He saw active duty in Vietnam.
