This Pea Coat has dark blue buttons, with the fouled anchor. (A rope around the flukes of the the anchor). This is an issued US Navy Coat. This coat is in Good used condition.
The coat has 6 buttons on the in the front. One extra button is hidden underneath the collar. This type of coat has a full inner liner. This is more than likely made of a satin - rayon material. It is in great overall shape. I sell a lot of Pea Coats. Check out my profile. There are no rips, tears or stains.
It is made out of100% wool and will keep you very warm in the cold months ahead. The color is dark black. It has smooth cotton in the pocket linings.
    This color is BLACK.
Here are some measurements that will help you.
I will not refund because "It does not fit". Check the measurements. Just because you might wear a 38 Regular jacket that does not mean that this will fit you. Most military garments are true measurements.
For example a size 42. That measurement is arrived at the distance from under one armpit to the other then doubled. While the coat is laying flat and with a tape measure stretched out it is 21 inches across.
Here are some measurements of this coat.
From under one armpit to the other is about 20 inches.
    CHECK THE MEASUREMENTS!
From the top of the shoulder seam area to the end of the jacket is 29 1/2 inches.
The length of the sleeve from the top of the shoulder cut to the end of the cuff is 24 1/2 inches.
From the back shoulder seam to shoulder seam is about 19 1/2 inches.
The nape, or area from the center top cut where the collar meets the top of the coat cut to the bottom of the coat is 31 inches, or more simply said the length of the back of the coat from the collar cut line to the bottom of the jacket.
I have had people ask me in the past "What size should I get?" Here is the best explanation I can give.
Pea Coats are coats that are issued as part of a navy uniform. They basically are fitted for this way. A tape measure is used and taken from under a person arm pit to the other arm pit area. Then doubled. For example(It is about 24 inches from one arm pit to the other on me. I am 6 foot 6inches tall I would take a 48.) It is about 24 inches from one arm pit to the other.) Then they come in usually 3 types of lengths. S (short) R (regular) L (Long)sometimes you might find a XL (Extra large) . I have found that most 6 foottall men wear around a 40 - 42. I have taken 5 measurements on 5 areas of thebody. I suggest you get a tape measure and check the measurements that I havelisted. If you don't have a tape measure I suggest you get a piece of string and get an idea of the length of the various parts of your body as to get a good fit. For example, I take most of the measurements where the shoulder cut is, on your body this is the farthest point of your body on the shoulder. Hold a string up to it and then you can get an idea of where the cuff would end on you. I don't mean to offend anyone, just want to get a good fit.
