    A full page ad from "Life Magazine" of April 4, 1949.  It promotes Texaco's Havoline Motor Oil by declaring "a clean engine gives full POWER"
    with a large silhouette of a BEAR
    to demonstrate.  Texaco put out a series of these ads with similar silhouettes of a Lion, Rhinoceros, Buffalo, Tiger or Elephant.
    Texaco was still called "The Texas Company" in 1949 with "TEXACO DEALERS IN ALL 48 STATES"
    The ad measures 10½ by 14 inches and is
    very suitable for framing.
