    Description

    One BUSHIPS publication titled DAMAGE CONTROL BOOK DER-328.   Book is from the US Navy destroyer escort USS FINCH DE-328, converted to a radar picket ship or DER-328.  Book measures 17" x 11" with a hard red cover.  See photos for contents.  Most every system on the ship is covered with both text and foldout drawings.  Most drawings are color coded.  Each US Navy ship was issued some of these in order to deal with problems, casualties, training, etc.  The books dates vary from 1956 to 1964 depending on when updates were required.  There are 11 large foldout sheets.  Book weighs 4 1/2 pounds.  In very good to excellent condition.   Great item for a researcher, historian, model builder, crew member.  USS FINCH was decommissioned in 1969 and eventually sold for scrap.
