Description
This auction is for one original U.S. Army lightweight cotton long sleeve khaki uniform shirt. The stampings are too faded to read, but this shirt came from an estate lot with items dating from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. I believe this shirt dates from the early to mid 50s.The top collar button is broken but is still functional, and there is some ink staining and bleed through on the lower front. I believe this will be covered up when the shirt is tucked in.
There is what looks like a dark spot in the upper left chest area in the photos, but this appears to have been a piece of lint as it is not visible on the shirt anymore.
See measurements below for sizing information.
The yardstick was used for measurement reference only, the actual measurements were taken with a tape.
When lying flat, it measures approximately 23 3/4" from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve, approximately 25" from armpit to armpit when measured across the top of the pocket when stretched out, approximately 30 3/4" down the back when measured from the collar seam to the bottom of the shirt, and the collar measures approximately 16".
Please see photos for condition details.
Shading and color may vary slightly due to camera settings and lighting conditions when the auction photos were taken.
