It was the 1910 Christmas shopping season, and the Curtis Publishing Co. of Philadelphia published its November 15, 1910 issue of
The Ladies’ Home Journal - The Christmas-Present Number, with 300 Presents in Pictures.
The magazine, which measures approximately 11 x 16 inches, contains 48 pages of articles related to womens’ fashions and clothing, gift suggestions, illustrations and descriptions of merchandise, and advertisements of all kinds. The magazine is enclosed in paper covers, with a painting, by Paul de Longpr
é, of Poinsettias on the front cover.
The pages of the magazine are lightly tanned, with some chipping along the edges. The cover shows further signs of wear, including a fold mark in the lower right front cover and deterioration of the spine. The text and illustration are all clear and easily read. The overall condition of the magazine is good.
