State of New York Bounty Bond issued July 1, 1866 at Albany, New York. Certificate

7% Bearer Coupon Bond
Payable Twelve Years from April 1, 1865
. Hand signed by State Comptroller. Certificate is about 10” x 15.” Black print with green borders.
Vignettes with the state seal of New York (top) and five allegorical women around certificate.
Issuing of Bounty Bonds was a government funded system of payments to volunteers in the U.S. Army.
Condition: Very Fine+
, light folds, minor creasing, no tears, minor signs of wear/handling/toning (see photos), heavily punch and slit cancelled.
