Original Vintage "You and Your Community" U.S. Army Pamphlet 355-12 March 1958

Description

Up for auction is the one original vintage Department of the Army Pamphlet No. 355-12 "You and Your Community" from March 1958 (although this one might have been printed in 1959 (bottom right corner on last photo). This pamphlet informed soldiers of the importance of community relations with the civilian public both in the United States and overseas.
This was picked up at an estate auction from someone who appeared to have served with the U.S. Army's 4th Armored Division in Bamberg, Germany, in the mid-1960s. Other auction items included his draft notice from 1963, unit patch and other Army items from 1961 and 1963 (see my other listings). The 4th Armored Division was active from 1941 to 1971, but in 1957 it was deployed to West Germany where it remained until 1971.
