Complete US Army 1945 Steel Canteen & Cup w/M1956 Canvas Cover - early Vietnam

Description

An original set of US Army issue steel canteen, cup and canvas cover from the early Vietnam period. The canteen is 1945 dated and made by Vollrath. Likewise, the cup is also dated 1945 but made by BECO. Both would have seen service up into the early Vietnam period due to the quantity leftover after the end of the Second World War. The olive drab canvas carrier pouch is the M-1956 Load-Carrying Equipment (LCE) model, with manufacture date of 1959 stamped on the back. It is in very good shape, with moderate use but no damage. Please see photos for condition of the steel items, including dents on the cup. Nice, complete set for your display or collection of Vietnam War era field equipment.
