British 1952 issue RAC /Tankers helmet
Very nice example or a postwar British rac/tanker helmet.
The model was practically unchanged from the ww2 one, except for the lower placement of the chinstrap bales and the introduction of the lift the dot type of liner, wich was introduced at the end of the war.
Helmet has no bumbs,cracks or holes and is in very good condition.
It retains most of it's green factory finish, with mostly paint losses on the metal rim.
The liner is the standard British oilcloth liner in black, all in good condition.
It's size stamped 7 3/4 and dated 1952.
The chinstrap is the green elasticed one and is in good condition.
These helmets are becoming scarce, especially with a big size liner as this one.
