    Description

Original Belgian airborne/paratroop bush jacket with typical beaver tail, in the Belgian "Denison" brush stroke camouflage pattern.
These jackets are very hard to find, and are from very early manufacture. These were mainly inspired on the British ww2 paratroop/airborne jumpsmocks
Made out of an extremely sturdy and tightly woven Egyptian cotton.
    This one is dated 1956.
They were used on several operations in Africa by Belgian paratroop units, and by numerous Mercenaries trough the African/Colonial wars.
The jacket is in very good condition, lightly worn, colors are strong, zipper and press studs work all fine
    - 2 large breast pockets
    - 2 large lower/waist pockets
    - 2 inner pockets , holster shaped
    - drawstring for the waist adjustment
    - all pockets close by 3 press studs, and have 2 "positions"
    - cuff adjustment by buttons
    - hem adjustment by press-studs - 3 positions
    - Stand up collar, with 5 press studs on it for attaching the hood
    - Front zipper is a heavy duty RIRI zipper,  works properly and is hidden by 5 press stud buttons on the stormflap.
    - beaver taill still present, can be worn in 3 positions, and is secured by 2 release bolts, it can be stored on the backside on the inside of the jacket when not in use.
    - reinforced elbows
    - Hood, wich in nearly all of the cases is missing(for it beiing used as a helmet cover most of the time) is present. It attaches to the jacket by means of 5 pop studs, has an internal draw cord, and can be close in the front by two tan buttons.
Example of how it was used as a helmet cover in picture 11 --- helmet is not for sale and not included in this auction.
