Banks Board Story
Many local divers in Northern California are familiar with the history of the “Banks Board”, but others have been curious about its origin, and no wonder; Banks Board is totally unique in its design, application, and functionality.
From the beginning, the Banks Board was designed by divers, for divers, and always with the diver’s needs in mind. Although it’s “love at first sight” for many of us; its success did not come quickly, easily, or by accident. It took time, focus, hard work, and a community!
Although it’s “love at first sight” for many of us; its success did not come quickly, easily, or by accident. It took time, focus, hard work, and a community!
NorCal spearo and avid abalone diver, John Banks, saw a need for a well designed, well thought-through dive platform; one which would be highly buoyant, versatile, and built with features and quality in mind.
Through the collaboration of your weekend diver and some serious spearos, the Banks Board evolved into what it is today. And through this “customer care” approach, the later versions included new features and design changes, which means a continuously evolving product, which it continues to be today.
The very first Banks Board version was primarily designed for abalone diving in Northern California waters but was immediately accepted by local freedivers and spearfishing enthusiasts alike. It didn’t take long for the word to spread.
The latest Banks Board, the “BB2” is now a highly sought out dive platform that incorporates more of the same… the lessons learned, divers suggestions, and the practical knowledge shared by the very people who use them, the local and the global community of Banks Board owners.
John Banks has entrusted us to “carry the torch,” and we will continue to maintain the high quality standards everyone has come to know and expect. We will continue to listen to divers near and far, so that we may keep Banks Board the premier diving and spearfishing essential, and the choice of divers everywhere. After all, we are divers too.
Banks Board Mission… ”Through our product, innovation, and by actively listening to customers, we shall help provide the best diving experience possible”. We take our mission seriously, We will continue to seek new ideas in order to make Banks Board ever better. Simply put, we believe that no other product comes close to equaling the quality, or the utility of the “Banks Board”
“Banks Board” Securing your needs with Innovation that floats.
