54TH Combat Engineer Btn, Wildflecken, Germany, 1966 Original B & W 8x10 Photos

Description

This is a collection of 8 x 10 original glossy photos mostly taken in 1965-66 period (a few from the 50s). Total of 17 photos (only 12 showing). The photos are curled on the edges, and some have a light brown small stain, but no cracks or tears, and photos have strong clarity, and have not faded. One particular photo has some writing on it, but you'll get a kick out of what's said!
If you were a combat engineer, then you'll remember a lot of this, especially Bailey Bridges, Floating bridges, Bangalore torpedoes, shape charges, wiring charges ,C4, blasting caps and twist/plunger detonators. But especially, the ball-busting work constructing Baileys and the never-ending floating bridge, usually in the worst weather and mud possible!
