Netherlands/Dutch US carbine bayonet with 6 9/16" blade and USM8 type scabbard
.
Made during the 1950s.
Guard is stamped with Horster trademark (see pictures).
Bayonet and sheath have been lightly handled, and have no other numbers, markings or symbols.
Two piece reddish plastic handle held with screws, guard secured with solid pins.
Woodgrain style plastic sheath with plain steel fitting at throat, drain hole, and leather thong.
Canvas belt strap with wire hanger and keeper with snap.
Sheath is in good used shape.
